The Hen’s Party- A day spa version of a fine tradition

At Haven Spa we have the perfect day spa setting for your hen’s party.  On the lower level is the bathhouse where your group will relax together and enjoy each other’s company.  Upstairs are six treatment rooms which all connect and can be opened up so you can ‘stay in touch’ during treatments.  These parties are easy to organize and very affordable and will suit groups from the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast, Brisbane and Northern Rivers.

Private time in the bathhouse will be arranged at no extra cost.  In addition to massage and organic skin care, many extra options are available including gift bags, astrology or psychic readings, beauty treatments and makeup.  You will want to consult with us to plan a party that is perfect for your group.

The hen’s party celebrates and acknowledges the transition from the unmarried woman to the married woman.  Although the months and possibly years preceding the wedding were a time of being one half of a couple, the hen’s party is a time to acknowledge the bride as an individual autonomous woman.  It is also a time to celebrate her connection and bond to the other women in her life.

We believe that these aspects of who we are- the autonomous individual and the woman who has a place within a female society of friendship, sisterhood and kinship, are aspects of ourselves which are essential to maintain if we are going to flourish in our future life as a wife.

At the basis of these two aspects of self is an underlying principal of self care and self love.  If we are to be healthy strong women in our marriages, we must practice the art of self love and self care.
